About Us
Located near King’s Park, Mount Private Hospital is Western Australia’s leading private provider of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery supported by a Coronary Care Unit (CCU). Our cardiac services are known for expertise, pace, complexity and compassion — and our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team is central to that reputation.
The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory provides a variety of specialist services including coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention, electrophysiology with advanced 3D mapping for complex arrhythmias, cardiac implantable devices, vascular intervention and structural heart cases.
We have a team of experienced supportive nursing staff and radiographers delivering the highest quality care and service. There are 3 new state of the art Angiography suites adjacent to our 29 bed Coronary Care Unit. In addition to the three labs, we have a Hybrid suite in the theatre complex with easy access to our 10-bed level 3 ICU.
About You:
You are a confident and calm leader who has experience in what excellence looks like in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. You bring technical expertise, sound judgement and the ability to use interpersonal skills to achieve quality outcomes.
You are equally comfortable supporting staff in the angiosuite, solving operational challenges and contributing to strategic service growth.
Key Responsibilities:
As an experienced Nurse Unit Manager leading our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team at Mount Private Hospital, you will:
Lead with Impact: Oversee unit operations, driving patient safety and care excellence
Deliver Results: Manage performance across key areas – patient safety, quality, financials and operations
Champion Quality Care: Implement safety frameworks and improve patient outcomes
Mentor & Support: Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
Essential Criteria:
Be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 5 years' experience in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory
Proven leadership experience in Cardiology and Vascular surgical care
Attainment of qualifications and/or competency in Angiography disciplines
Demonstrated ability to manage Cardiac Catheter Laboratory inventory, including purchased and consignment stock, high-value consumables, prostheses/devices and supplier liaison
Experience contributing to refurbishment planning, capital works, equipment replacement and service development within a procedural or Cardiac Catheter Laboratory environment
Commercial acumen and experience supporting the operational administration of contracts and service agreements
Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
Results driven with a focus on achieving quality and performance outcomes
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to consult, guide and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve department objectives
High computer literacy skills, including in MS Office.

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current the current Healthscope and Healthscope and Mount Hospital- registered Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary RN Level 3.4 - $71.73 per hour.
