At Norwest Private Hospital, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Allied Health team in a part-time permanent capacity for three (3) days a week.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to become the clinical lead across a range of acute wards to facilitate the assessment of equipment needs, functional assessments, cognitive assessments and service provision to facilitate patient safety and discharge within a multidisciplinary team.

As an Occupational Therapist in our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of acute conditions

  • Undertaking individual sessions for inpatients

  • Conducting risk assessment and safety planning

  • Working collaboratively with other Allied Health clinicians and nursing staff

Essential Criteria

·       Acute, clinical OT experience and expertise

·       A commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement

·       Experience and expertise in delivering of a broad range of evidence based therapeutic approaches

·       Authority to Work in Australia

·       Working with Children check (or the ability to acquire one)

·       Appropriate tertiary qualification/s pertaining to specific discipline/designation

·       Registration with AHPRA

·       Self-motivation and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning, collaborative team

·       Well-developed interpersonal skills

·       A proactive, self-motivated and patient-focused approach
