About the role:
Hunter Valley Private Hospital and Newcastle Private Hospital are offering an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist Locum to join their Allied Health Teams to fill a casual position across both sites.
We are looking for a highly skilled individual to bring their energy and experience to our friendly team. Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a new challenge? Do you have experience adopting a client-centered and goal-directed approach? We would love to hear from you.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides evidence-based rehabilitation for a range of caseloads including inpatient neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation and day only rehabilitation patients at HVPH and a mix of acute and rehabilitation patients at NPH to assist with leave cover.

Hunter Valley Private Hospital (HVPH), located in Newcastle, provides medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation and surgical services. Newcastle Private Hospital (NPH) provides maternity, cardiac, oncology and rehabilitation services. Both hospitals are accredited by the ACHS and have a dedicated focus on providing quality healthcare to our patients.
Key responsibilities:
Adhere to Healthscope site policies and procedures & AHPRA Code of Conduct guidelines
Contribute to efficient and effective running of the department
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and occupational health and safety
Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Essential Criteria:
Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy)
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
Current driver’s license
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in the role of a rehabilitation occupational therapist
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
