We are seeking an experienced HP3 Occupational Therapist to undertake a roles within the Allied Health team at Sunnybank Private Hospital. We have a permanent-part time position 3 days per week (Wed to Friday), 7.5hr days, in a job share role with another one of our Occupational Therapists. This position is available immediately.

As an Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:

• Provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy to varied diagnostic groups primarily within the rehabilitation ward to inpatients and outpatients
• Assist with the treatment of acute patients across the medical, surgical and CCU wards
• Maximise the occupational performance of patients, adopting a client-centred and goal directed approach
• Participate in program development and quality improvement activities within the Occupational Therapy Department and hospital
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development programs
• Providing support to other Occupational Therapists and/or students

It is situated approximately 13 kilometers south of the Brisbane CBD and is the first Private Hospital north of the Gold Coast.

Selection Criteria: 

• Bachelor in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Excellent clinical practice skills in rehabilitation
• Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills
• Autonomy in work practice
• Current drivers licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
• Sound knowledge of My Aged Care referrals and processes
• Understanding of NDIS supports and services
• Ability to conduct and provide recommendations based on home/access visits
