Peninsula Private Hospital is undergoing some exciting developments including a redevelopment project that will grow the Perioperative department to 4 theatres, 2 procedure rooms and a new CSSD department. The planned completion is September 2025 with our current capabilities expected to double by 2026. As an Operating Theatre Educator, your responsibilities will include:

• Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control)
• Lead and foster a learning environment
• Maintains a professional and constructive working relationships
• Prioritises Healthscope’s patient safety and quality frameworks
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
• Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Certificate in work place assessment and training

Essential Criteria:

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Post Graduate Qualification in perioperative nursing or clinical education
• Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)
• Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation
• 3+ years clinical experience in perioperative nursing
• Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• WWCC
• Current Police Check

Desirable Criteria

• Post Graduate qualification in area of clinical practice
