Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist Grade 1/2 – Part-time 0.4-0.6 FTE

 

The Victoria Clinic has recently moved into a new state of the art, purpose built inpatient mental health hospital, which includes a rooftop gymnasium, expanding to 115 beds. The Victoria Clinic provides a range of inpatient programs, which are growing to meet the needs of patients.

 

The Victoria Clinic has an exciting opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist to develop and facilitate group exercise programs and education sessions.

Key Responsibilities

·           Conduct and facilitate group therapy sessions in the gym

·           Provide physical assessment services to people with a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting as required.

·           Liaise with referrers, multi-disciplinary team, relatives, and other services as required.

·           Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate.

 To be successful in this role you should possess:

·           Experience in facilitating a range of exercise groups for inpatients with mental health conditions

·           Ability to plan, implement and monitor exercise groups

·           Experience working with clients with a range of mental health issues

·           Degree in Physiotherapy or Human Movement, Exercise Science, Physical Education or equivalent
