Preadmission Nurse

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Preadmission Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team.
As a Preadmission Nurse your responsibilities will include:
· Provide evidenced based nursing care
· Conduct comprehensive pre-admission assessments
· Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient readiness for surgery
· Review patient health histories, medications and orgranise pre-admission requirements
· Conduct patient interviews and telehealth appointments
· Deliver education and support to patients and families on pre-operative instructions and post-operative care as well management of their health during recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is a 98 bed, 7 operating theatres acute surgical hospital that serves the needs of the local community at Liverpool and surrounds. Services provided include Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Intensive Care Unit and Oncology Unit as well as a Mental Health Unit.

Essential Criteria:
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Working with Children check
· Pre-admission nursing experience (desired)
· Commitment to Quality Patient Care
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Works well independently and within a team
· Basic computer skills
