Psychologist Grade 2 and Grade 3 Part Time positions now available. 

The Victoria Clinic has recently moved into a new state of the art, purpose built inpatient mental health hospital, which includes a rooftop movement hub, and 115 beds. The Victoria Clinic provides a range of inpatient programs, which are growing to meet the needs of patients.

The Allied Health team at The Victoria Clinic is expanding and has opportunities for 2 Psychologists to join the team. The Grade 2 role, will have opportunities to facilitate general ward group programs with room to be a part of specialist programs, including but not limited to EMP and DDP. The grade 3 role will have the flexibility developing this program.  The grade 3 Role will be a mixture of indolent in the DPD and Detox Programs alongside the general inpatient program.

Key Responsibilities both roles:

  • Facilitate group therapy program.
  • Provide individual treatment sessions and supportive counselling sessions to individuals.
  • Provide psychological assessment services to people with a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting, in order to  determine suitability for particular specialist programs.
  • Implementation of particular specialist programs
  • Liaise with referrers, multi-disciplinary team, relatives, and other services as required.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate.

Applicable only to the Grade 3 role

  • Coordinate and implement inpatient dual diagnosis program, with a DBT framework
  • Provide clinical supervision, consultations and debriefing to staff.

To be successful in this role you ideally possess:

  • Experience or interest with Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) treatment programs and or private impatient mental health hospitals
  • Experience working with clients with a range of mental health issues, particularly emotional dysregulation.
  • Postgraduate degree in Psychology and full registration with AHPRA
  • Postgraduate degree in Psychology and full registration with AHPRA
  • Experience coordinating and delivering programs.
  • Experience working with clients individually and in groups.
  • Endorsement with Psy BA as a Board Approved Supervisor (Grade 3 only)
  • Experience providing clinical supervision. (Grade 3 only)
  • Near completion of registration program (Grade 2 only).
