Psychologist - Grade 2

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Psychologist to join our team at The Dorset Rehabilitation Centre in a part-time capacity. 

This role involves working collaboratively within an established multidisciplinary team, including 2 other experienced psychologists and a large, allied health team. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, an interest in pain management and enjoy working with in a team environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • to provide comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment to a variety of clients, with the majority being in the pain management program
  • face to face and telehealth treatment
  • conducting psychology group sessions
  • participation in team meetings, patient case conferences and supervision sessions
  • assessment and discharge report writing 
  • participation in program development and quality improvement initiatives

Dorset Rehabilitaion Centre has a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care across a range of rehabilitation specialties. The centre offers a friendly and supportive staff environment, with our established multidisciplinary team servicing both inpatient and outpatient programs.

Selection Criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Psychology
  • Eligibility for membership to the Australian Psychological Association
  • Experience working in a pain management or rehabilitation desirable
  • Experience in providing individual therapy, and facilitating psychological educational groups
  • Display exceptional time management and a high degree of flexibility
  • Enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team across both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Membership to APS College of Clinical Psychologists desired
  • Advanced qualifications and expertise in a particular therapeutic model are welcomed.
