Regional Facility and Project Manager (QLD)
This position will manage oversee the strategic and operational management of our hospitals in NSW and ACT. This pivotal role involves ensuring the efficient operation of all physical aspects of our facilities, creating and maintaining safe, functional, and productive environments for all occupants. The role will also lead the planning, budgeting and execution of infrastructure projects including refurbishments, fit outs and facility upgrades.
You will collaborate across departments to ensure our facilities meet operational needs while aligning with long-term strategic development plans. This person will consult with various internal and external stakeholders including auditors and statutory authorities to ensure Healthscope meets our compliance obligations.

Key Accountabilities:
Improve the Experience:
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards. Leadership, management and coordination of all aspects relating to the direct and sub-contract Facilities Maintenance Services and subcontractors.
- Deliver an Integrated Facilities Service Contract through direct and sub-contract staff.
- Provide regular reporting for all stakeholders including service delivery, planning and scheduling, and KPI reporting.
- Responsible for the Sub-contractor SLA’s and associated HSEQ policies, procedures and systems that support a safe and professional work ethic.
Experience for Success
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within the private healthcare sector or large-scale organisations.
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant qualifications in facilities management, property, or a related field.
- Experience within commercial and healthcare facilities.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to compile detailed and accurate reports.
- Highly consultative, with proven record of building & maintaining client relationships.
- Effective communicator at all levels.
Qualifications for Success
Mandatory:
- A current driver’s license.
Highly Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ facility management/construction or equivalent qualification
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, a building related discipline or equivalent extensive and relevant experience.
