As a Midwife at NBH you will make an impact by:
- Providing high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups
- Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes
- Guiding and mentor junior and undergraduate midwives in provision of midwifery care
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Being passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience for women and their families.
As a high performing team member, you will possess the following:
- Current Registration as a Midwife with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Midwifery or Graduate Diploma in Midwifery (if Bachelor of Nursing is first qualification) or equivalent
- Highly developed clinical skills across the continuum of maternity care - with a desire to focus on birthing/postnatal
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to family-focused approach to care

About Northern Beaches Hospital
Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. Our amazing birthing and maternity facilities, include spacious birthing rooms with large birth pools, latest K2 monitoring systems, and Level 4 SCN providing options for all levels of maternity care.
As a midwife at Northern Beaches Hospital you will have opportunities to use your skills across the full scope of maternity care, with women having choices from continuity of care models right through to private obstetric care. The hospital also features an Emergency Department, ICU, state-of-the-art theatres, world-class education centre with SIM lab, and excellent staff facilities including café and car parking.
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the updated Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2024 with a salary range between $39.09 - $54.89/hour
