NBH is a fully licensed private hospital providing services to both public and private in and out patients by exceptional nurses, doctors, allied and support staff. An exciting career opportunity for permanent full time midwives join the extraordinary Midwifery Group Practice Team at Northern Beaches Hospital. Our MGP team comprises a skilled team of midwifery staff who offer specialised and individualised care for all mothers and babies. They strive to provide the finest birthing and parenting experience.

As a Midwife in the MGP you will make an impact by:

  • providing high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups with continuity of care
  • providing individualised women centred care
  • planning, assessing and implementing midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes
  • working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • being passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience for women and their families.
MGP midwives work within a caseload model of care incorporating 24 hour on call as per annualised salary agreement. 
As a high performing team member, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Current Registration as a Midwife with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Midwifery or Graduate Diploma in Midwifery (if Bachelor of Nursing is first qualification) or equivalent
  • Demonstrates competency and proficiency as a midwife in Antenatal, Labour, Birth and Postnatal care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team enviroment
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster and be on call
  • Unrestricted NSW Drivers license
  • Commitment to a woman and family focused care model.
