About Northern Beaches Hospital
Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is situated in Frenchs Forest, just 13 km north of Sydney CBD. This contemporary 488-bed facility consists of 60% public and 40% private beds. It offers a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50-bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre, and Outpatients.
NBH features 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories, and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit that includes two intensive care wards.

Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area. It was thoughtfully designed to optimise patient safety and overall experience, and to provide meaningful management and operational efficiencies that benefit everyone.

About the Role

Ward 6D is a 30-bed ward that cares for acute medical patients, focusing on geriatric care. The successful candidate will work within a supportive team of dedicated nurses and a multidisciplinary group, providing quality, evidence-based care. We support continuing education for all staff through our education department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward.

As an experienced nurse, you will bring to our team:

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

• A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in an acute hospital setting is essential

• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and patient-focused

• Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement

• Self-motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team

• A passion for delivering quality patient-centred care

• Flexibility with shift allocations and a commitment to working a rotating roster. We offer 12-hour shifts!

If you succeed in the role, your salary will be determined by your years of relevant registered nursing experience in accordance with the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, ranging from $35.46 to $49.79 per hour.
