We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.
All supported by the expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit. Our expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be.
About the role
We are looking to continue to build a dynamic team of passionate angiography nurses to support our growing services. We currently offer Interventional Angiography, Pacing, EP Studies, TAVI and Interventional Radiology.
Cath Lab training will be provided by an experienced team of friendly, supportive staff. Your ideal background will be from one of:
· Cardiac Cath Lab or
· Cardiac Nursing or
· Critical Care or
· Anaesthetics or
· Theatre/Recovery
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:
· Deliver patient centered nursing care
· Liaise and work well with the multi-disciplinary team
· Facilitate, support and help develop an expanding Cath lab service
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Angiography/ Cardiac Catheter Laboratory experience (preferred)
· Post Graduate Diploma in acute care (preferred)
· Commitment to Quality Patient Care
· Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Works well independently and within a team
· Willing to be part of an on-call out of hours service (once orientated to the area / hospital)
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Basic computer skills
