Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse looking for a permanent part time position?

Nepean Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurses to join our ICU Team on a permanent part time role. Casual roles are available too. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

About us 

Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As a Registered Nurse – Cardiology/ICU, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
  • Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care 
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Act as a role model for Safe Practice
  • Supervise, direct and support nursing team members
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

Essential Criteria

 

  • Authority to Work in Australi

  • Working with Children check (if relevant)

  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

  • Have completed a new graduate year

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Cardiac or ICU (or working towards)

  • Clinical experience in an ICU or cardiology environment
  • Current Advanced life support (or willing to obtain)
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous imp
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $40.26 - $56.54 per hour.
