Campbelltown Private Hospital is seeking Registered Nursing applicants to join our Day Surgery team on a Temporary Full-time contract until the end of Dec 2025, with the possibility of joining the team on the same, or reduced hours.

Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose-built private hospital located in Park Central, the ever-growing medical hub of Campbelltown.  Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 48 Surgical beds, 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit.  We offer excellent employee conditions with extensive support, professional development and future leadership opportunities.

 

 As Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake acute nursing care in accordance with legislation
  • Deliver evidence based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care
  • Proactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant post registration qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working within an acute surgical unit– Preferably in a Day Surgery setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiative using research principles to support evidence-based practice, including development of policies and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team.
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient centred care
  • Demonstrated professional manner when working with complex situations
  • Advanced communication skills as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including morning, day and evening shifts
