Work is complete on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne’s east.

The new multi-million-dollar expansion allows Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients, further cementing our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility.

2023/2024 Expansion Project includes:

Three story North Tower with two wards (60 beds), upgrade and increase in ICU and CCU beds, upgrade to Knox Heart Centre (our non-invasive diagnostic cardiology) and Specialist Consulting Suites.

As a Registered Nurse – Emergency Department your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care 
• Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery

Essential Criteria:

• Authority to Work in Australia
• Minimum 2+ years working in Emergency care
• Working with Children check (if relevant)
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in emergency or critical care nursing
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
• Flexibility to work a roster of Morning and Afternoon shifts as well as Saturdays when required.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $35.33 to $47.25)
