Registered Nurse - Mental Health
Mental Health - Registered Nurse
As part of our ongoing expansion within the Mental Health Unit, Northpark Private Hospital is offering exciting opportunities for experienced Mental Health Registered Nurses and those looking to develop their expertise in the mental health field.
About us:
Northpark Private Hospital has been providing mental health services to the northern suburbs community and beyond since 1979. Northpark recently underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment to expand our mental health services, improving access to care for more people.
APU (Adult Psychiatry Unit) is a voluntary inpatient ward that focuses on achieving personal-centred planning and is guided by our core values of promoting respect, service and advocacy for people with a mental health illness. Our nursing staff provide a supportive atmosphere and environment with a structured life strategy designed to promote recovery.
We are excited to welcome passionate and innovative professionals to our expanding mental health services. Our newly enhanced wards now include 22 additional beds, featuring a dedicated 10-bed unit for older persons(OPU). The upgraded facilities offer beautiful group spaces, meeting rooms, interview areas, a gymnasium, and dedicated patient support zones creating an environment that fosters healing and growth. An inpatient stay may include evidence-based therapy and wellness programs, in conjunction with medical treatments including medication therapy, Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Our team will design a treatment and recovery program personalised to individual requirements.
We currently have Casual Registered Nurse positions available for APU and OPU, with the potential to transition into permanent hours in the future.
