Are you a Registered Nurse specializing in Mental Health or Addictions and seeking a rewarding career move?  The Sydney Clinic is looking for qualified Registered Nurses specializing in Mental Health or Addiction Disorders to join our established team on our inpatient wards.

The Sydney Clinic is a 44 bed Private Mental Health and Addictions facility located in the Eastern Suburbs and within easy access to Bondi Junction and Bronte Beach. The Sydney Clinic offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care to our customers

This Role can offer the successful candidate:

  • Exceptional and unique opportunity to join a team of skilled Registered Nurses in the specialization of recovery from Addiction Disorders and Mental Health.
  • Develop and consolidate skills in trauma informed care and a wide knowledge of holistic care needs in the area of Mental Health and Addiction Rehabilitation.
  • Work in a hub of Innovation and Quality Improvement with other talented clinical professionals.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health and/or Addiction Disorders preferred
  • Permanent Part Time/Permanent Full Time and Casual roles available

As the Registered Nurse your role will include:

  • Working closely with your patients, their carer’s and families to help identify, plan and assist in the journey to recovery.
  • Working with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to identify obstacles to recovery and empower our patients in decision making.
  • Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating trauma informed and recovery focused interventions.
  • Participate in Safety Huddles and Complex Case Reviews.
  • Develop and utilize strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to psychological safety and effective communication.

Essential Criteria:

  • A working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • A demonstrated interest in the field of mental health addiction disorders evidenced by specialization in the field, substantial experience, or postgraduate qualifications or Continual Professional Development
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post graduate qualifications in mental health or addiction disorders

Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority. Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check (Police check cannot be older than 3 months) and Working with Children check prior to appointment. Persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of vaccination/immunity to specified infectious diseases as Category A Healthcare worker.
