Norwest Private Hospital is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia.  The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with a high performing Emergency Department located in Sydney’s Bella Vista.

 

The Role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, proactive, highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses with experience in an acute care setting to join our dynamic Recovery unit where team work is paramount.  You will join a workforce of nursing professionals to care for patients after surgery.  On offer we have two casual roles available. 

 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

·         To provide customer focused holistic nursing care

·         Deliver evidence based nursing care

·         Maintain effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team

·         Ensure ongoing patient care and staff safety

·         Engage in a positive team culture

 

What you'll need to succeed

Essential qualities:

·         Current Registration with AHPRA - Registered Nurse

·         Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a recovery department in an acute hospital.

·         Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·         Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·         Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills

·         Works well independently and within a team

·         Intermediate computer skills

Desirable qualities

·         Post graduate certificate in Recovery or working towards 

·         Paediatric experience

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $37.38 - $49.79 per hour.
