Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout

 The Opportunity

Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care? Mount Hospital is looking to employ experienced Registered Nurses for our Scrub Scout team.

 Key functions include:   

·         Established and maintained positive relationships with patients, families, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures

·         Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care

·         Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates and students and AINs/PSAs

·         Worked as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, managed own work time and personal well-being

·         Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes

·         Involved in clinical and compliance auditing

About You

 You will hold a minimum of 3 years’ full-time scrub scout experience in general and/or urology. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a private hospital setting.

 To be successful in this role, you will:

·         Have AHPRA registration (essential)

·         Previous experience with Orthopaedics / Neurosurgery (Essential)

·         Have relevant post-graduate qualifications (desirable)

·         Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative complex.

·         Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

·         Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated to daily activities
