About Us
Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife in Special Care Nursery your responsibilities will be to:
· To provide quality nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient and new born care.
· To provide a standard of care according to the individual’s level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.
· To develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
· To work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.
· When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
· Current registration with AHPRA
· Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
· A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursery/Newborn Postnatal care.
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Works well independently and within a team

If successful, you will receive a salary based of award Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses’ & Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement with an hourly rate ranging between $39.09 -$54.89
