Healthscope are currently searching for our next top talent. If you are a skilled Security Operations Analyst, we want to speak to you! This senior role will provide support in identifying and investigating Cyber Security vulnerabilities and intrusions as well as incident response, remediation support, surveillance/monitoring and developing secure network designs and protection strategies. This role will suit a qualified Cyber Security professional (CISSP/CISM/GIAC desirable) who has a proven track record for applying preventative and detective controls to reduce Cyber Security exposures.

This job is open across the Nation to all Australian Cybersecurity professionals. Candidates residing outside of Melbourne are encouraged to apply. Flexible and remote working arrangements, no need for relocation.

As a Security Operations Senior Analyst your responsibilities will include: 

  • Contribute to technology and security strategies and product selections
  • Respond to security changes and requests by implementing and updating Cyber Security technologies
  • Investigate and respond to incidents and threats and identify and remediate vulnerabilities effectively and escalate where appropriate
  • Install, maintain, and continuously improve Cyber Security tools, such as antivirus, disk encryption, VPN and MFA, Endpoint Detection & Response, and security event logging systems
  • Scan and report on vulnerabilities across all systems and applications
  • Perform application security assessments and collaborate across teams to track and remediate identified issues
  • Stay up to date with newly published vulnerabilities and assess environment for exposure
  • Review and maintain all security policies, standards, processes and procedures
  • Manage ongoing Security Monitoring and Encryption systems, testing and troubleshooting to effectively detect improper usage

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of Cyber Security Infrastructure technologies and best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of core infrastructure technologies and operating environments
  • Experience performing technical analysis involving threat event data and evaluating malicious activity
  • Knowledge of commonly-accepted information security principles and practices and proactive vulnerabilities management
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and related network protocols like TCP, ARP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SNMP etc.
  • Understanding and application of the following security tools: Vulnerability Management, Database Access Management, Database Encryption, Cloud Email Filtering, Simulated Phishing Tools, Privileged Access Management, Next Generation Firewalls, Orchestration Services.
  • Effective security governance skills for technical related projects such as patch deployment, software deployment, etc.
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Guide and advise others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice throughout the team
  • Proven track record in Security Governance and Reporting and providing regular status updates to key stakeholders on key security initiatives progress and milestones
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with all levels of the business and IT
  • Proven experience delivering outcomes under time pressures
  • 7-10 years of experience in information security/CyberSecurity in a broad range of technical disciplines
