An exciting opportunity exists, for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker, to join our established multidisciplinary team, at Dorset Rehabilitation Centre, on a casual basis.
This role involves working collaboratively within an established multidisciplinary team, including a group of endorsed and experienced Social Workers. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and enjoy working with in a multidisciplinary team environment.
As a Social Worker your responsibilities will include:
- Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessment, timely intervention and contribute towards the holistic discharge planning of patients within a rehabilitation setting
- Display exceptional time management and a high degree of flexibility
- Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team across both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs
- Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives
At Dorset Rehabilitation Centre, a 30-bed rehabilitation hospital in Pascoe Vale, our patients always come first. With a long history in the provision of patient-focused, quality healthcare, our team provide inpatient and outpatient programs with an emphasis on cardiac, orthopaedic, neurological, trauma, reconditioning and pain rehabilitation.
Selection Criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Experience working in a rehabilitation or hospital setting
- Working knowledge of compensable and private insurance systems
