Melbourne Private Hospital is currently seeking a professional and customer focused Supply Officer to join the busy team of professionals. This is a full-time position.

About Us:

Melbourne Private Hospital is a 122 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.

Responsibilities:

·       Provide exceptional customer/patient service by replenishing hospital areas

·       Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities.

·       Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.

·       Maintain standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.

·       Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.

·       Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct.

Essential Criteria:

·       Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget

·       Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting

·       Good literacy and numeracy skills

·       Proven time management and problem-solving ability

·       Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment

·       Medical product knowledge (desired)
