Nepean Private Hospital are seeking full time, part time and casual Theatre Assistant/Orderlies to join their supportive team. Owned and operated by Healthscope, Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid / cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Well-developed strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • Skills and motivation to ensure excellence in customer service
  • The ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients, their families and colleagues and an understanding of confidentiality
  • The ability to maintain safety standards and adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Assurance to participate in flexible rostering across all shifts 
  • The ability to complete tasks within a measurable timeframe
  • The ability to work in a diverse physically challenging position/workload

Previous experience in a healthcare environment would be a distinct advantage.

   
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current HSP & NSW Health Professionals & Support Services Agreement 2017-2011.
 
Successful applicants are required to provide evidence of a current Criminal History Record Check (within last 12 months), a Working with Children Check, Health Medical assessment and immunisation assessment prior to commencement.
