Knox Private Hospital is growing!

We are excited to be expanding our procedural areas of Operating Theatre, Day Procedure Centre, Emergency Department and a dedicated plastic surgery ward.  All opening in February 2020. 


Are you a motivated and passionate Theatre Bookings Clerk looking to step into a rewarding career opportunity? Come and join our dynamic team as we develop our extensive surgical services even further.


Working closely in supporting the theatre management team, your role will include:

  • Bookings for elective and emergency patients into the hospital
  • Working in close liaison with Visiting Medical Officers and their Consulting rooms / practice managers and external referral organisations
  • Prepare daily theatre lists, enter patient data and alert relevant department managers to identify patient’s specific needs.
  • Ensure efficient and effective workflow processes are maintained to meet corporate and local site key performance indicators.

Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility  , providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including a twenty four hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.  The hospital is growing to 13 operating theatres, 1 hybrid theatres plus 2 dedicated Endoscopy suites and a brand new Day Procedure Complex, which offer a broad range of specialities including Cardiac, Neuro, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular, Hepatobiliary, Maxillofacial, ophthalmology and General Surgery. 

Essential Criteria

  • Advanced computer skillS
  • Working knowledge of WEBPAS /Electronic patient management system or similar
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of Medical terminology
  • Working with Children’s check
  • Dynamic positive enthusiasm to make a difference
  • Attention to detail
