The Peninsula Private Hospital Administration team are seeking a motivated and passionate Theatre Bookings Clerk who will work in our busy Operating Theatre and bring with them great enthusiasm, passion, knowledge and a highly progressive approach to providing excellence in customer care to our patients and their families.

As a Theatre Bookings Clerk your responsibilities will include:

  • Greet all customers
  • Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage clerical and administrative responsibilities such as prostheses billing
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
  • Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care under the supervision of Nurse Managers

 With 70 inpatient Surgical, Medical and Rehabilitation beds, a rehabilitation gym and 3 operating theatres located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula our facility averages 760 admissions per month. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane Northside.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in an acute patient focused Healthcare facility/Hospital
  • Demonstrated knowledge in prosthetic billing
  • Excellent knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments
  • Preference for applicants with Tech 1 experience and Health Fund Contract understanding
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts
