John Fawkner Private Hospital are seeking Theatre Orderlies to join their team on a casual basis. You will play a key role working amongst a supportive team to ensuring patients have a positive experience during their care.

About us 
John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the north west of Melbourne.  With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit, we provide a wide range of services to the community.  We specialise in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, gynaecology. neurosurgery, ophthalmics and vascular surgery.

As an Orderly your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Assistance and transfers including the use of lifting machine and bed movers.
  • Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
  • Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
  • Work as an active team member to support all work tasks

Essential Criteria:

  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent desired
  • Experience in a hospital environment (desirable)
  • Working with Children check
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Available for on call shifts
