Join the team at John Fawkner Private Hospital as a Theatre Technician! We're looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Perioperative Services team on a full-time basis. As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas. John Fawkner Private Hospital has a long-established tradition for providing quality healthcare to our local community, the veteran community and patients travelling from regional northwest Victoria.
As a Theatre Technician your responsibilities will include:
· Assist nursing staff in the delivery of safe and compassionate care
· Transport to and from the ward
· Assist with the safe positioning and immediate preoperative preparation of the patient
· Assist with positioning and connection of equipment in the theatre as required
· Maintenance of a sterile environment
· Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
· Adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures
· Contribute to the efficient, effective, and economic running of the Perioperative Services team
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Theatre Technician
- Working with Children check
- Commitment to service excellence
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Work well independently and within a team
- Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support)
