An exciting opportunity exists for two full‑time Ward Clerks to join the Day Procedure Unit and Endoscopy Unit at Norwest Private Hospital. You will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for patients, families, and clinical teams, while supporting the smooth day‑to‑day operations of our expanding service.

Shift requirements include varied hours available Monday to Friday.

About the roles

As a Ward Clerk, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to the Day Procedure Unit and Endoscopy services. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Welcoming and assisting patients, visitors, and staff
  • Liaising with nursing teams to communicate care timeframes and discharge/collection details
  • Preparing Day Procedure patient files and coordinating ward documentation
  • Filing and distributing pre‑admission X‑ray and pathology results
  • Supporting the main reception with patient admissions and discharges via WebPAS during peak periods
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager and nursing staff
  • Coordinating with allied health, porters, and hospital departments to facilitate patient care and transfers

Comprehensive training and ongoing development will be provided to support your success in the role.

Our brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art Day Procedure Unit is part of an expanded Theatre Complex, delivering the most comprehensive interventional endoscopy service in the region. Supported by the largest team of interventional gastroenterologists, we consistently deliver exceptional outcomes and patient experiences.

Endoscopy Unit
Featuring two advanced operating theatres, six first‑stage recovery bays, and six second‑stage recovery bays, our Endoscopy Unit supports a wide range of procedures including Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, stent insertions, and more.


About you – Essential criteria

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and WebPAS
  • Previous front‑line customer service experience in a hospital or medical centre setting
