The Hills Private Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Wardsperson to join our team on a part time basis. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieving high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, in this faced paced and varied environment.
About us
The Hills Private Hospital is a 111-bed private hospital located in the Hills District of Sydney, consisting of 86 Rehab and 25 mental health beds.
Our hospital offers inpatient and day programs in orthopaedics, neurological, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation as well as treatment programs for mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis intervention and substance abuse.
As a Wardsperson your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Assistance and transfers including the use of lifting machine and bed movers.
- Be involved in mobile patient transport as required
- Provide ongoing support to the clinical teams as required
- General housekeeping duties e.g., restocking of equipment, and waste management
- Operate in line with HSW policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
- Work as an active team member to support all work tasks
Essential Criteria:
- Valid Class C Australian Driver’s License
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience in a hospital environment (desirable)
- Working with Children check for paid work
- Commitment to service excellence
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High level attention to detail

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check (conducted within the last 12 months), a current Working with Children check and provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Catergory A Healthcare Worker, all prior to appointment.
