Youth Worker – Grade 3

The Melbourne clinic is seeking a Youth Worker with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working independently with the patients and as a multidisciplinary team member of mental health professionals Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • liaise closely with the treating psychiatrist
  • Offer a broad range of psychotherapeutic groups and activities, some including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Psycho education, etc

Essential Criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Youth Work
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Youth Workers
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence desirable
