Our busy emergency department are seeking part time positions, 60 hours per fortnight.  To excel in this role you will need excellent customer service skills and be able to work across a rotating shift roster, including nights with flexible shifts available to suit your lifestyle.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Responsibilities of the role

·       Perform a broad range of administration duties including:

·       Manage a busy emergency reception desk

·       Answer and redirect calls

·       Prepare admission paperwork

·       Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits

·       Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records

·       Perform Health Fund Checks as required

·       Manage the collection of excesses/co payments

·       Coordinate with staff from other departments

·       Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

Essential Requirements:

·       Previous administrative experience working in a high volume customer centric role.

·       Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

·       Excellent communication and customer service skills

·       Strong time management and organisation skills

·       Ability to follow instructions and take directions as required

·       Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment will be highly regarded
