Are you an experienced Oncology Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking for your next role?

We are looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work in our 8 chair Day Infusion Centre.

About the role

The Day Infusion Centre at John Fawkner Private Hospital specialises in Chemotherapy administration and is seeking an AUM with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team.

Supported by the latest technology and an exciting $55 million upgrade, we offer state of the art surgical, medical, cancer, coronary and intensive care. We are renowned for complex surgery, with our Critical Care Complex being the only one of its type in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, providing intensive and high-dependency care post-surgery.

  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
  •  Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required

Selection Criteria: 

  • Current Registration with AHPRA  
  • Working with Children check
  • 3+ years oncology experience 
  • Current or previous ANUM, shift manager or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
  •  Post graduate Degree in relevant specialty area desirable
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards 
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills 
  •  Positive role modelling behaviours 
  •  Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation 
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment 
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases  
  • ADAC competent

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025".
