About the Role
Northern Beaches Hospital expanded in 2024 and opened a further 30 bed in-patient ward (5D). Ward 5D is a dynamic mix of both public and private medical and surgical care. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new team with a unique model of care.
As an Assistant in Nursing your responsibilities will include:
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
- Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
- Assess patients using therapeutic skills
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Essential Criteria:
Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer, or equivalent.
Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing desired
