About the Role
Our Assistant Nurses (AIN) assist our hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties whilst working as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters. You will assess patients using therapeutic skills as well as answer patient, visitor and customer enquiries.  This role will join our Interventional Suite. The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises: 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and state of the art Sterilising Services Department. The service currently operates 7 days, 06:30 to 21:30hrs, with a provision of an afterhours on-call service.
Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate III/IV (from an approved training provider) in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer
  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience as an Assistant In Nursing desired

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $24.86 - $27.28 per hour.
