Associate Nurse Unit Manager- Night Duty
Part-time 30 hours (4 shifts) fortnight role available
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to join our management team. This key role involves ensuring the provision of high levels of patient care for our clinical units and effective operational management of The Geelong Clinic, Night duty.
As a senior nurse you will support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standards of evidence-based care and provide leadership, supervision and mentorship for staff and students.
The Geelong Clinic is a 73 bed Psychiatric Hospital offering a range of inpatient, day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems. Located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions, the clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team of nursing, allied health, administration and domestic services staff. Onsite parking available.
Selection Criteria
· Registered Nurse with psychiatric nursing qualifications and recent psychiatric nursing experience
· Minimum three years’ clinical experience in Mental Health
· Well-developed leadership and management skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to plan and prioritize to meet the operational and strategic goals of the hospital
· Computer literacy with knowledge of labour management
· Current AHPRA registration
· Working with Children Check
· Post graduate qualification in health management or working towards same advantageous

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VIC/ANMF – VIC nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise agreement 2021-2025.
