An exciting opportunity to be part of the perioperative management team at North Park Private Hospital has become available.

This position would suit a highly skilled and self motivated registered Perioperatve nurse, who is looking to expand his / her management skills as part of an already motivated and achieving perioperative team.


As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) you will be responsible for assisting the Peri-Operative Services Manager in efficient and effective management, coordinating the delivery of evidence based nursing care and be responsible for providing outstanding leadership and direction to the Peri-operative team.  As part of the Orthopedic team, you will continue to drive exceptional customer service and to build a specialty to excellence.


An ability to liaise with all members of the healthcare team and to continue to foster open communication pathways with VMOs, clinical and non-clinical staff is essential.  A flexible attitude and a capacity to encourage and achieve best practice quality patient care is.

There is on site parking and a cafĂ©. A recently refurbished CSSD department, close to local transport, parks and schools.  Salary packaging of superannuation is also available.

It is essential that this senior member of the peri-operative team has post graduated qualifications

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with sound experience in scrub/scout. We need you to assist our Perioperative Services Manager in the leadership and clinical support of the theatre team.

Position Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the unit to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.

With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.

You will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Grade 2, Year 4 or above
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Experience in the Acute setting/relevant to position advanced skills
  • Degree in relevant specialty area
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive role modelling behaviors
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
