We are looking for a Social Worker to join the casual pool at Northern Beaches Hospital. You will have Social Worker experience working in an acute hospital setting and be passionate about your work!
About the role
As the successful social worker level 1/2, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical care, work in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence based treatment in a coordinated and timely manner. Provide Social Work intervention to a wide variety of patients in acute care including surgical, medical, critical care, emergency, maternity, paediatrics and aged care.
You will also be able to participate in our social work weekend on-call crisis roster.
Selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working in an acute health care facility
- Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant Social work experience against the current Healthscope– NSW– Enterprise Agreement 2023, a salary ranging from $37.21-$53.92 (grading dependent) per hour plus loading.
